NAVASOTA TAKEOVER

BIGGEST CREW
OFFICIAL RULES.

Friday, August 28, 2026 · The Western · 9524 N Hwy 6 Loop South, Navasota, TX 77868

Effective date: August 11, 2026

NO RANDOM DRAWING. The Navasota Takeover Biggest Crew Contest (the “Contest”) is an attendance-based skill and performance contest. The winning crew is determined by the largest number of verified members under these Official Rules, subject only to a skill-based tie-breaker if necessary.

1. SPONSOR

The Contest is sponsored and administered by Montana Lane (“Sponsor”). Questions may be submitted through montanalane.com/contact. The venue, payment processors, Squarespace, Google, and wristband manufacturer are not sponsors or administrators of the Contest.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The event is intended for guests 18 and older. Guests under 18 may attend only with a parent or legal guardian. This is an event preference and does not replace the venue’s separate policies or applicable law.

The Contest is open to lawful event attendees who hold a valid paid admission and receive a valid coded competition wristband from authorized event staff. Crew captains must be at least 18 years old at registration.

Sponsor, performers, venue employees, event workers, vendors working the event, and members of their immediate households may attend but may not be counted as Contest participants. The Contest is void where prohibited.

3. CONTEST PERIOD

Contest registration begins when doors open at 6:00 PM Central Time on August 28, 2026. Advance captain registration may be made available before the event. All crew formations, crew selections, and member assignments close at exactly 10:00 PM Central Time on August 28, 2026 (the “Cutoff”). Sponsor’s system timestamp is the official timekeeper.

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

An eligible captain may register a crew at any time before the Cutoff without a wristband code. Registration reserves the approved crew name and establishes the captain but does not count the captain or any other person as a verified crew member.

  1. At the event, confirm or purchase a valid $15 admission and receive the venue’s regular admission wristband.
  2. Guests who have already decided to form or join a crew may request one coded competition wristband from authorized staff.
  3. Scan the shared QR code printed on the competition wristband or visit montanalane.com/crew.
  4. Select Join a Crew, choose the registered crew, and enter the unique six-character code printed on the competition wristband. A captain must join their own crew to become a verified member.
  5. Complete registration before the Cutoff.

Each code may be registered only once. Each participant may belong to only one crew. A completed crew assignment is final and may not be changed, transferred, sold, traded, or shared.

5. FORMING A CREW

A captain may register a crew at any time before 10:00 PM by providing their name, phone number, email address, proposed crew name, age confirmation, and rules agreement. No wristband code is required to create a crew. After registration, the captain may proceed to Join a Crew once they have received a valid coded competition wristband. The captain is not counted until that wristband is successfully assigned to the crew.

Crew names must be unique and may not contain unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, infringing, impersonating, or misleading content. Sponsor may reject, abbreviate, or require replacement of an inappropriate or confusing name. Registering a crew does not guarantee that it will qualify or win.

6. QUALIFYING MEMBERS AND CREWS

A verified member is a person who:

  • holds a paid, non-refunded admission;
  • was admitted to the event;
  • received a valid coded competition wristband from authorized staff;
  • submitted that unused code for one registered crew before the Cutoff; and
  • complied with these Official Rules.

A crew must have at least 10 verified members at the Cutoff to qualify. Invalid, duplicate, refunded, complimentary, staff, performer, vendor, transferred, manipulated, or late entries do not count.

7. WINNER DETERMINATION

After the Cutoff, Sponsor will verify the records. The qualifying crew with the greatest number of verified members is the potential winner. Sponsor may inspect physical wristbands, admission records, transaction records, timestamps, and registration data before declaring a winner.

If two or more qualifying crews have the same highest verified-member count, each tied crew will designate one representative for an equal, live, skill-based challenge administered by Sponsor. The same instructions, scoring method, time limits, and materials will apply to every tied representative. The representative with the highest objective score or fastest successful completion wins. If the result remains tied, additional equal skill-based rounds will be conducted until the tie is broken. No random drawing, coin flip, dice roll, or other chance-based method will determine the winner.

8. PRIZE

If at least one crew qualifies, the winning crew’s cash prize equals $500 for each complete block of 100 paid, non-refunded attendees admitted to the event by the Cutoff. Attendance is the total event attendance, not the size of the winning crew.

0–99 PAID$0
100–199 PAID$500
EACH COMPLETE +100+$500

Partial blocks of 100 do not increase the prize. For example, 200–299 qualifying paid attendees produces a $1,000 prize, 300–399 produces $1,500, and 400–499 produces $2,000. If fewer than 100 paid attendees are admitted by the Cutoff, no cash prize is awarded.

No prize is awarded if no crew reaches the 10-member minimum. The prize is not divided among multiple crews unless Sponsor expressly agrees in writing after the Contest.

9. PAYMENT

The verified winning captain is the sole prize recipient on behalf of the crew. Payment may be made by Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or cash within five business days after verification. The captain is solely responsible for distributing any portion to crew members. Sponsor is not responsible for disputes among crew members.

The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and for supplying any information reasonably required for lawful payment or tax reporting. Failure to complete verification, accept payment, or respond within 10 business days may result in disqualification and selection of the next eligible crew.

10. CONDUCT AND NO HARASSMENT

Competition wristbands are intended only for guests who have already chosen to form or join a crew. Repeated solicitation, pressure, intimidation, unwanted contact, offering money or anything of value for crew membership, interfering with another crew, tampering with wristbands or records, or harassing any guest in an attempt to affect crew membership is prohibited.

A participant must immediately stop when another person declines or asks to be left alone. A violation verified by event staff may result in immediate removal of the participant from the Contest or disqualification of the participant’s entire crew, at Sponsor’s reasonable discretion. Ordinary voluntary conversation among friends is not prohibited.

11. DISQUALIFICATION

Sponsor may disqualify any participant or crew for violating these rules; submitting false information; duplicating, guessing, stealing, transferring, or manipulating a wristband code; interfering with the registration system; abusing staff or attendees; compromising safety; or attempting to obtain an unfair advantage. Allegations alone do not establish a violation; Sponsor may investigate using staff observations and available records.

12. TECHNICAL AND EVENT ISSUES

Sponsor is not responsible for lost or damaged wristbands, illegible or mistyped codes, unavailable mobile service, device failure, interrupted internet access, delayed submissions, or other technical problems outside Sponsor’s reasonable control. Participants should register early and seek assistance from the crew attendant before the Cutoff.

If fraud, technical failure, safety concerns, venue requirements, weather, force majeure, or another circumstance materially affects the integrity or operation of the Contest, Sponsor may pause, modify, suspend, or cancel it, provided Sponsor acts reasonably and does not use chance to select a winner from paid participants.

13. PRIVACY

Captain contact information is collected for Contest administration, verification, and prize payment. Wristband codes, crew assignments, and timestamps are collected to validate entries and calculate results. Sponsor will not publicly display captain phone numbers or email addresses. Information may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve disputes, maintain business records, and comply with law.

14. PUBLICITY

Except where prohibited, the winning captain and participating crew grant Sponsor permission to announce the crew name, captain’s name, verified crew size, prize amount, and Contest result in connection with the event and its promotion. Any broader commercial use of a participant’s individual likeness will remain subject to applicable law.

15. LIMITATION AND RELEASE

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree that Sponsor is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation, crew disputes, or prize distribution. Nothing in these rules waives rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived. Event admission remains subject to the venue’s separate policies and applicable law.

16. DECISIONS, GOVERNING LAW, AND SEVERABILITY

Sponsor’s good-faith interpretation of these rules, verification of records, and determination of Contest results are final, subject to applicable law. The Contest and these rules are governed by Texas law. Any dispute shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Grimes County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Sponsor’s failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of that provision.

17. ACCEPTANCE

By registering a competition wristband, forming a crew, or joining a crew, each participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Official Rules.
