DANCING. CREWS.
Navasota Takeover is one big Friday night of live country music, dancing, and bringing people together at The Western. Come solo, meet up with friends, or rally a crew and compete for the cash. Competition is completely optional—the show, dance floor, and night out are for everyone.
BRING THE
WHOLE DAMN CREW.
PACK THE HOUSE. GROW THE PRIZE.
The largest verified qualifying crew wins a cash prize based on total paid event attendance—not crew size. Every complete block of 100 paid, non-refunded guests admitted by the 10:00 PM cutoff adds $500. Fewer than 100 paid guests means no cash prize.
Fraternity. Sorority. Student organization. Corps outfit. Workplace. Club. Family. Or just a ridiculous number of friends.
FORM NOW.
JOIN AT THE SHOW.
FORM YOUR CREW
A captain age 18 or older creates the crew without a wristband or six-character code. Creating it reserves the name but counts zero members.
GET YOUR BAND
At the event, receive a coded competition wristband, scan its QR code, and select Join a Crew.
JOIN BY 10 PM
Choose the registered crew and enter the band’s six-character code by 10:00 PM CT on August 28. Captains must do this too to be counted.
Competition is optional. Crews need at least 10 verified members to qualify, and every wristband code can be assigned only once.

GENERAL ADMISSION
THE DETAILS.
DO I HAVE TO COMPETE?
No. Competition is optional. You can come for Montana Lane & The Traffic Jam, the dance floor, and the night out without forming or joining a crew.
HOW DO I FORM OR JOIN A CREW?
A captain age 18 or older selects Form a Crew and creates the crew without a wristband code. At the event, every participant—including the captain—receives a coded competition wristband, scans its QR code, selects Join a Crew, chooses the registered crew, and enters the six-character code.
HOW BIG DOES A CREW HAVE TO BE?
A crew must have at least 10 verified members to qualify. Every member must hold a paid admission and a valid competition wristband.
HOW MUCH CAN A CREW WIN?
The prize equals $500 for every complete block of 100 total paid, non-refunded attendees admitted by the cutoff. It is based on total event attendance, not crew size. Partial blocks do not count, and fewer than 100 paid attendees means no cash prize.
WHEN DOES CREW REGISTRATION CLOSE?
Crew creation and joining close at 10:00 PM CT on August 28, the night of the event. Late entries do not count.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
The event is intended for guests 18 and older. Guests under 18 may attend with a parent or legal guardian. Crew captains must be at least 18.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR?
Cash, card—including tap to pay—and Venmo are accepted.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Use any available lawful parking near The Western. Please follow posted signs and do not block entrances, exits, or neighboring access.
HOW DOES RIDESHARE DROP-OFF WORK?
Rideshare vehicles should enter through the first entrance, drive around the back for drop-off near the dance hall entrance, and leave through the second exit.
WHERE IS THE DANCE HALL ENTRANCE?
The dance hall entrance is at the rear of the building, away from the road.
CAN WE RECRUIT PEOPLE AT THE SHOW?
No. Competition wristbands are only for guests who have already chosen their crew. Repeated solicitation, pressure, intimidation, unwanted contact, compensation for membership, or interference with another crew may result in immediate disqualification of the responsible participant’s entire crew.
HOW IS THE WINNER PAID?
The verified winning captain may receive the prize through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or cash. The captain is responsible for distributing it among the crew.
WHAT HAPPENS IF CREWS TIE?
Tied crews will compete in an event tie-breaker selected and announced by the organizer.
WHAT COUNTS TOWARD THE PRIZE LEVEL?
Paid, non-refunded admissions checked into the event count toward attendance, whether or not the guest joins a crew. Complimentary admissions do not advance the prize.
